0 Kuda Lumping Dance - A Magic Secrets of the Immune

Gamelan and drum sound of the rushing sound of singing floated sinden. A number of spectators came to hear the sound of gamelan and drums that continue to be played. While a number of men behind the curtain dressed in modest cover.

The traditional elders, was busy preparing a number of offerings on the table. There was a young coconut, roses, cigars, until the tea and coffee. There is nothing special because all can be on the market.

Arrive when its an early show, when the villain shaped like a raging crocodile in her dance. Not long after came the hero with a stick in hand. He ran and jumped around. In dance they both like to fight. Predictable as the villain defeated by the hero fell.

After the scene the dancers are mostly men are taking a horse. This horse is not a horse in a real sense, but rather a property of the horse replica, which is made of woven bamboo or braid.

With their lively dance accompanied by gamelan and drums, voice-sinden continues playing. Sometimes they are spinning in a circle, and even sometimes their legs slammed the ground like a real horse.

After a time the elder with a charcoal fire advanced toward the center. Whether the prayers what he was saying at that time. All dancers-were seated around the elder. Suddenly, all the dancers such as loss of consciousness. There is a direct approach that brought the burnt charcoal elders. However, some are dancing as they please.

This is often said by many that the arts kuda lumping is always associated with magical elements in it. This dance is often said to be a form of appreciation and support of the little people against the cavalry of Prince Diponegoro in the face when the Dutch colonial era. However, those who said that, this dance describes the story of the struggle of Raden Patah, assisted by Sunan Kalijaga, against the Dutch colonialists. Clearly no one knows the real truth with many versions of the story.

But as the people of Indonesia should be proud that this art was exhibited in public, although in different versions of the story. Because of these efforts will foster a love of water-rich land of culture.

As an attraction full of mystical and dangerous, this lumping horse dance is performed under the supervision of a "supernatural leader". Usually, this is a leadership that has a high magic that can restore back to the consciousness of the dancer as usual. He is also responsible for the course of attractions, as well as heal the pain experienced by lumping horse players if there is something undesirable and cause illness or injury to the dancer. Therefore, although regarded as folk games, lumping horse can not be played by just anyone, but must be under the direction and supervision of the leadership.
